Strengthening Capacities of Civil Society Organizations for Crowdfunding

Loud Crowd Association, in close cooperation with GIZ – Centres for Migration and Development (ZME), implemented a project to strengthen the capacity of civil society organizations in Serbia to use crowdfunding as a sustainable, transparent funding tool and launch/manage effective community-driven fundraising campaigns.

Through tailored training, intensive mentoring, creative production, and full legal, financial, and technical support, the project engaged 16 CSOs nationwide—most of whom worked with vulnerable groups such as Roma communities, women, youth, and returnees—and supported 9 organizations in developing real, transparent crowdfunding campaigns.

The project demonstrates that crowdfunding can deliver tangible resources while building long-term fundraising capacity, public trust, and a stronger culture of community giving in Serbia.
