Loud Crowd and NALED Strengthen Capacities for Civic Crowdfunding

Crowdfunding for Local Communities in Serbia strengthens sustainable local development by introducing donation-based crowdfunding as a practical tool for municipalities and local actors. Implemented by the National Alliance for Local Economic Development (NALED) in partnership with the Loud Crowd Association and supported by GIZ – German Cooperation in Serbia, the project builds on proven COVID-19 response experience to create a policy framework, a scalable model for a national donation platform, and hands-on capacity-building for local communities.

Through regional trainings, mentorship, and pitching events, municipalities and NGOs learn how to turn real community needs into transparent, fundable projects, while new pathways are created to engage businesses and the Serbian diaspora in giving.

The project delivers concrete outputs—including a policy document, platform model, municipal crowdfunding guide, and locally driven project ideas—ensuring sustainable impact beyond the project’s six-month duration.
